Carol J. Stallard, age 84, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 in Orlando, FL. She was born October 21, 1930 in Barberton, OH to Doris Eileen (Briggs) and Charles Taylor. She married Don E. Stallard in Geneva, Ohio on December 30, 1950.
Carol attended Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia and Flora Stone Mather in Cleveland, Ohio. She worked in the NEO Hospital Business Office and also at Mitchell Hardware in Ashtabula. For 30 years, she was the secretary/treasurer of D. E. Stallard & Daughters Nursery. An avid reader, Carol enjoyed dogs, music, and collecting dolls. She was a member of Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Doris Lee LeMoyne, Tammie Susan (Gerald) Deurlein-Atkin; grandchildren, Michael (LeighAnn Rodd) Deurlein, Stephen Deurlein, Sarah LeMoyne, LeeAnne (John) Julien, Amy LeMoyne; great-grandchildren, Ezra, Erica and Jessica; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Don E. Stallard; her parents, and sister, Doris Jeanne Spencer.
Friends will be received 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be Dock Road Cemetery in Madison.
