Betty Ruth Gapen Obituary

Betty Ruth Gapen, age 92, of Madison, Ohio passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Lantern of Madison surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 6, 1923 in Fairchance, PA, to Frank and Elma (Price) Lilley.

Betty was Foreman for GE at the Willoughby Quartz plant until she retired in 1983.

She is survived by her daughter, Elma Wessollek; son, Ernie (Linda) Gapen; daughter-in-law, Stacy (Robert) Eshelman; grandchildren, Ernie, Dustin, Cheri, Joe, Casey, Chrissy, Robert, Julie and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Grady, Miles, Reese, Shane, Jordan, Christian, Thomas, Fintan, Jaxsen, and Ava. She was preceded in death by husband, Ernest D. Gapen; son, Robert Eshelman; two brothers and two sisters.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., December 5, 2015 at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 N. Hubbard Rd., Madison, OH 44057. Officiating will be longtime friend Rev. William Alvey.

Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH.
